Travelog: Keeping up with the Fork

the ridge at upland dairyIt’s probably not surprising to you that I tend to plan travel, at least somewhat, around dining. And of course, dining around travel. It doesn’t matter where we are, or why we’re there, I will want to find the local specialty. In fact. I’m fairly well-know amongst friends for learning how to say “Bring me the best?” in every language. It’s not important to me whether it’s high food or low, but I want local recs, and I want to try it all. In fact, long before I started writing this blog, a good indicator of my destiny would have been time and money attributed to seeking out good food while traveling, as well as the amount of space on the pages of my travelogs dedicated to describing the gastronomic outcomes of my quests. Marc and similarly situated travel companions (see Gabe of Gabe and Erica) have long joked that living with me is a bit like regressing to a hunter and gatherer society. I don’t just want coffee, I want THAT coffee. With that in mind here are little bits of my travels along the way. And of course check out my Restaurants of Influence page.
